Name: Lorre (Loor)
Species: Dragon
Gender: Female
Age: 18 months
Appearance: At only a year and a half in age, Lorre is still small, though large enough for a grown man to ride. Her obsidean scales are as black as night, which is why she prefers to fly at that time. Her eyes are the shade of mist rising from a waterfall, a liquid gray tint. Her claws resemble the look of a french manicure, white-tipped, but the rest their natural color; Smooth, shining ebony. Her long, leathery wings are translucent, and are stunning when the moon shines through them. A thin ridge of spines run down the back of her neck, and would rather hurt if you were to run into them. The underside, however, displays terrible gash that has never healed. The huge hole is where her vocal cords previously were until the humans stole them from her...
Picture:
Personality: Being mute, Lorre is naturally a recluse. Very few know that she even exists, and those that do want her dead. Lorre resides deep within the Beor Mountains, where few but the boldest of dwarves go. There is one time only that she leaves her mountainside cave... nightfall. It's her favorite time to fly, since it's dark and she feels alone and secure.
Past: Born to two wild dragons, Rolulan as her sire and Sesilie as her dame, Lorre was practically hated by those residing near the Spine mountain ranges almost immediately. They didn't need the trouble of this beast. Look what had happened to the legend Eragon when the hatchling appeared there? A family was destroyed and a young boy kidnapped. Of course, word had never made it back to this area of him, so the humans thought him slaughtered by the beast and eaten.
Anyhow, when Lorre had finally gathered the courage to leave her parents and venture out on her own, only a month later she was captured and abused by the more couragous of the mountaineers. They even went so far as to steal her vocal cords from her before she finally escaped. The hatchling, only 6 months old at the time, had nowhere to go and no one to turn to, so she just tried to get away from this place as fast as she could. Flying only by night, she crossed more human towns, a scorching desert, a river, and several dwarven clans before finding a secluded place all her own. Since then, she hasn't seen a soul and plans to keep it that way for a lot longer.
Other: This was written while listening to 'Untitled' by Simple Plan. Here's a link to the song.

NOTE: I know that the whole Eragon getting kidnapped by Saphira isn't what REALLY happened, but it fits and the third book isn't out yet.
