"Really now? Then what are you here to do other than grow your own food and pay taxes to the King?" snorted the femme challengingly, giving Miana a naturally fiery glare after prying it away from her sibling's pitiful stare. Nirvana shifted slightly, his presence here now becoming a nuisance to him.

"I don't grow my own food. I live in the city, how can I? For an upper-class citizen to not realize this... Well, it just shows what all that education is going to." Miana felt like insulting this girl. Not something she usually felt, but more of a sudden impulse that she had to get out of her system.

"So you do beg for food? Oh, ha, I told you!" snarled Natalie, hushing Nirvana before he could say anything or defend this peasant. What right had he to? "It's pitiful... you and that ugly cat..." sighed she, suddenly calmly but with a smug manner.

Miana smiled. "I don't beg," she said with a smirk. "I said that I don't grow my own food. That doesn't mean I don't work in an inn or at a bar or maybe I'm just a thief who steals for her food. You don't know."
Odd Ball glared at Natalie. Those rich people, never knowing when to shut up and listen to their superiors. Miana rolled her eyes at Odd Ball.

"You would sink so low as to work?" Natalie snuffed, which Nirvana couldn't help but agree. None of his siblings had ever lifted a finger, including himself, and even his mother. He had to admit to himself he was as much as a pampered, pompous, spoiled brat as his sister, just without the attitude.

Miana's eyes grew could and hard. "That's how honest people earn a living. They work. They actually have to earn their money, wear as you just sit on your butt and inherit it all. Not all of us can inherit. Not all of us are spoiled rich children."
Odd Ball lept off of Miana's shoulder and peered up at Natalie. He seemed to be sizing her up, deciding what to do.

"Erm..." Nirvana proposed, shifting his weight nervously. He wouldn't say he was perpetually spoiled, just well-nourished and pampered, but he doesn't yearn for it. "Well maybe you should get that way. It's possible if you would marry into a rich family like Father did," hissed Natalie challengingly.

Miana laughed. She laughed and laughed. When she had finally controlled her giggles, she said, "And what man would marry me? I'm a demonic albino child with the eyes of a devil." She said this as though she quoted someone. "If that weren't enough, I have no money, no good family name, no property. Why would some rich man marry me? There are far more... rewarding matches. Ones that can get them money and some one beautiful. Unfortunately, I fit into neither catagory." She shrugged and grinned.

"Don't worry... I can see that. But you're exactly right. Why marry you when they could be with me? Someone who fits into all those categories. But... perhaps some very mentally challenged man who happens to have some money will come along and meet you. I can only hope for you the worst from there," Natalie spat, like an angry feline. Nirvana tapped his sibling's shoulder, but she only jerked away from the touch and he went back to being a figure in the background.

Miana smiled slightly. "I wouldn't want to marry a man for money. You might, but, if you haven't noticed, I'm not you! If I marry, I'd want to marry someone for who they are, not the amount of coins in their pocket."
Odd Ball flexed his claws from his position at Miana's feet.

"Is that so? And I'd suppose you want to have a peasant for a husband then, too, hm?" she uttered, giggling at Miana's remark. "Not all people who are nice are peasants, Natalie," commented Nirvana innocently, applying the statement to himself. His sister merely wrapped an arm about his shoulders cooly. "But only nice people marry peasants, brother," she whispered matter-of-factly, "Except Mother, of course."

Miana watched this little exchange. "Seems to me like you're not very happy. Except maybe when you're insulting someone you believe is lower than you. Personally, I'd rather be poor and carefree than rich and unhappy and with a million burdens. That's a good thing about being like me. No one really cares what you do."

"Being rich makes you happy, though. Why can't you understand that? All you have is that hideous cat and your own disgraceful self. Me, well, I have a lot of things..." Natalie explained daftly, only to find her explanation in vain. What was the point? This is exactly what ran through Nirvana's mind.

Miana smirked. "But you see, I know how to live. I know how to live each day like I won't live after it, because there's a chance I won't. I don't need objects to make me happy. I have what I want." She shrugged.

"Apparently, you didn't want beauty, did you?" chimed Natalie hatefully. Her brother closed his eyes and sighed. He didn't want to offend either of the vixens, but he didn't like anyone to be insulted. There was no ultimatum in it and it was sheerly to make someone else feel bad or worse, and it irked Nirvana. He was positive, and only saw the good things in people.
