Miana walked down the city streets. It was market day, and hundreds of stalls stood out under the baking hot sun. Miana stolled inbetween them, looking at objects and attracting many odd looks from her appearance. A cat with a squashed face jumped up on her should. I don't understand why you enjoy living here. The mind voice was only noticed by Miana. "Well, you came and lived here, didn't you?" she retorted quietly. True. He thought grumpily then fell silent.

Natalie paced side-by-side with her younger brother, Nirvana. Quite a sight the two were together, what with their prettily hazel optics and dense locks. "I'm telling you! Nirvana, no one lives better than us. Not even the King!" exclaimed the femme, giggling cheerfully. But as she passed by the peasants, she stuck up her nose. Why should she pay any mind to the lower class? That's what her mother thought as well, but ended up with a laborer anyways. Nirvana simply shook his head sympathetically. "I'm afraid not..." he said softly, in a hushed tone. Natalie spotted just about the oddest cat she had ever seen in her life suddenly, and come to an abrupt halt, facing Miana. "What are you, some kind of freak, carrying around such an ugly cat?" snapped Natalie, flipping back her chestnut locks. Nirvana simply smirked warmly at Miana, not wanting to offend anyone.

Miana fixed Natalie with her blood red eyes. "Why am I carrying around an ugly cat? Because I want to." She shrugged nonchalantly. "But the real question is, why do care? Why am I so important that I would warrant a question from you?" She had recognized that Natalie was one of high blood and lots of money. Miana smiled back at Nirvana.
Smarin/Odd Ball glared at Natalie with his glowing yellow eyes. She thinks I'm an ugly cat! She thinks I'm inferior to her! The little stuck up... He continued to rant to Miana, using words that made even Miana, who had grown up in slums, flinch.

"I just noticed that pungent little beast from afar. And now that I think about it, you're quite disgusting as well. Can't you peasants clean yourselves up a little bit?" Natalie snarled acidly, afixing her own hazel pools upon Miana. Nirvana shifted his weight from one foot to another. He always loathed when his sibling acted this way but he never took sides, figuring being neutral would gain you more friends.

Miana cocked her head, as though raptly interested in what Natalie. "We peasants don't feel the need to clean ourselves up because we need to impress no one. No one cares what I look like, so why try to please no one?" she asked calmly.
Odd Ball/Smarin was outraged. Pungent little beast?! I'll show that brat... and he continued to rant with unprintable obscenities. He hissed angrily at Natalie.

"I can see that. Peasants must have a lot of fun writhing in filth, then, hm? I'm surprised you people can even love each other, it's so disgusting around here." Nirvana gave Natalie a harsh look, but one that kept their ties the same. "I dont think you should be saying those things, Natalie," he commented but his sister merely gave him a fiery, enchanting glare before turning back to Miana with hateful optics.

"Writhing in filth? Hm... I wouldn't say that. Mostly, I at least, just don't care what people like you think of me." Miana looked calmly at Natalie. She glanced at Nirvana and said quietly, "I really don't care what she says to me. I've learned not to let words affect me."

"That's good because my sister, not to offend her, is very pungent and rude," Nirvana breathed just as silently. Natalie bit her lip and optics began to light ablaze. "Nirvana! I heard that..." she growled, suede pools suddenly focused upon him. "I said to not offend. I simply stated a fact," he replied, sympathy and regret biting his tongue. Woe, why did he have to have the guilty conscience?

Miana looked more closely at Natalie. "Not so much pungent." she said thoughtfully. "No, not pungent. Rude, perhaps, but not quite pungent."
OOC: Ack! Me is muse-less!

OOC: Noezzzz! Natalie crossed her arms and snuffed. "Of course... she can be nice, too," Nirvana interjected, giving his sister a gentle smirk. That got her attention, which she gave him a blissful glimpse and then resumed her glare upon Miana. "Of course," the vixen repeated harshly, "I'm always nice... in a brutally honest way."

Miana laughed. "People who are brutal honest are not generally nice. People don't want to hear what their faults are. People want you to lie about how wonderful they are. If you lie, you're nice. If you tell the truth, you're cruel." Miana leaned forward. "People don't like reality."

"Well, you're supposed to be honest and reality is truth. And in reality you're nasty, filthy, poor peasant, just like everyone else. You're all so common," snapped Natalie, pumpkin-spice orbs glinting sharply. Nirvana sighed uncomfortably. His sibling wouldn't stop until she had her way or made someone cry.

Miana seemed very interested. If Natalie thought she could make Miana break down, she was much mistaken. "Another reality is this. How can you judge us, when you've never lived like us? How can you tell us how we live, if you've never lived the way we do? How can you tell us all about our lives, if you've never lived them?" She looked curiously at Natalie for an answer.
Odd Ball stuck his nose next to her neck. You know, instead of discussing who's right and who's wrong, why don't you just punch her in the nose and prove that you're superior? It'd be quicker.

"Because I've seen you disgusting peons and that's all I need to know to figure out you're here for nothing, but to beg for food and bother upper-class people," Natalie explained, glancing at her nails, prim and proper. "You don't mean that, Natalie. Why don't you be nice?" Nirvana questioned, gazing at her with a pleading look. She merely bit her lip nervously. Her brother really needed to stop butting his head in where it didn't belong.

Miana laughed. Her laugh seemed slightly ironic. "You think I'm just out here to beg and bother upper-class citizens?" She giggled a little more. "You couldn't be farther from the truth!" She continued giggling softly.
Odd Ball glared at Natalie. You think we're out here to be? We're out here so I can steal meat from a vendor or two.
